What Sacred Tobacco Asks of You | Jason Grechanik ~ ATTMind 213

Jason Grechanik spent nearly a decade apprenticing in Amazonian tobacco medicine with the Shipibo in Peru.

He joins us to discuss both what the medicine of tobacco offers and what it asks of us.

What is sacred tobacco, and what isn't it? Tabaquero Jason Grechanik spent nearly a decade with the Shipibo in Peru and apprenticed in Amazonian tobacco medicine. We get into why tobacco is called the plant of the creator, what a tobacco dieta asks of you, and how Nicotiana rustica became the cigarette.

Then I push back: dependence, daily hapé, the "dizziness" that convinces people a plant told them they're ready to serve, the deaths that come from getting the dose wrong, and why "natural" doesn't mean safe.

‼️ This episode is educational. It does not recommend using tobacco or nicotine in any form. ‼️
