Slurricane Strain Review: Sweet, Gassy & Surprisingly Functional

Slurricane Strain Review: Sweet, Gassy & Surprisingly Functional4 dagen geleden27 min

Slurricane sounds like it should knock you sideways—but this indica-dominant hybrid gave us a much more functional experience than expected.

In this Cannabis School strain review, Brandon and Jesse try Slurricane flower grown by Dragonfly Wellness. A cross between Do-Si-Dos and Purple Punch, this batch tested at approximately 26.5% THC, with limonene and beta-caryophyllene leading the terpene profile.

Right out of the jar, Slurricane delivers a sharp, sweet aroma with dark berry, citrus, gas, and an almost cheese-like funk. Once vaporized, it becomes smoother and more layered, bringing out sweet, slightly minty flavors with a light gassy finish.

The effects came on gradually. Instead of immediately locking us to the couch, Slurricane felt calm, present, and surprisingly easy to layer throughout the day. After several bowls, however, the head effects became heavier and a little wobbly—so dosage definitely matters.

For us, this felt like a great strain for a quiet evening, a relaxed staycation, looking at art, watching fish at an aquarium, taking a peaceful fall walk, or hanging out somewhere that isn’t packed with people. Brandon also found it potentially useful for daytime pain without making him feel immediately sleepy.

Of course, this is a Cannabis School episode, so the conversation eventually wanders into Utah’s changing landscape, art museums, enormous hidden mansions, Halloween traditions, childhood jobs, truck-driving stories, and the questionable ways parents used to teach kids a lesson.

In this episode:

Slurricane’s Do-Si-Dos and Purple Punch genetics

Dragonfly Wellness flower from Utah

Sweet berry, citrus, mint, gas, and funky aromas

The batch’s THC, minor cannabinoids, and terpene profile

Vaporizing flower versus smoking it

A calm experience without immediate couch lock

Brandon and Jesse’s personal pain and relaxation experience

Why Slurricane may work better in quieter environments

How the effects changed after multiple bowls

Why you should never drive after consuming cannabis

Utah art, mansions, mountain towns, and fall weather

Halloween memories and old-school parenting

Jesse’s teenage jobs and unexpected high-school graduation

Chapters:

00:00 Welcome to Cannabis School
00:16 Introducing Slurricane
00:39 Aroma straight from the jar
01:03 Vaporizing flower versus using vape
