BONUS EPISODE - Robert Forster (The Go-Betweens)
"Lived Through That” is the companion podcast to my book where I look at influential musicians of the 80s and 90s and where they are today. On this podcast, we’ll delve deeper into a single pivotal moment in the lives of some of the artists I feature in that book, as well as other artists I love and admire. The stories they tell are open, honest, and inspiring.
This week, we've got Robert Forster back on the show. Robert Forster is the Brisbane singer-songwriter who co-founded The Go-Betweens. He and Grant McLennan met at the University of Queensland and formed the band in Brisbane in December 1977. They became one of
Australia’s most loved indie bands. After McLennan’s death in May 2006, the Go-Betweens disbanded again. Forster has also built a parallel career as a solo artist, and as a music critic and author.
In this episode of Lived Through That, Robert continues our conversation but talking about his writing career, including his new novel, "Songwriters On the Run."
