Sometimes we reach for heaviness when life feels scattered. Sometimes we move quickly because there's so much energy moving through us. These responses aren't necessarily random. They may be ways we've learned to compensate for the conditions we're living within.

But adaptation and harmony aren't always the same thing. Something can help us get through a difficult experience while also leaving us depleted. Through Ayurveda, Yoga, and self-inquiry, Nicholas explores how becoming conscious of our patterns allows us to look beneath the behavior and begin understanding the beliefs, thoughts, and experiences contributing to it.

Rather than simply trying to change the outcome, we can become curious about the conditions creating it. We can explore the relationship between what we're thinking, what we're believing, what we're feeling, and how we're responding. And through that awareness, we may discover that we have more choices than we previously recognized.

Because perhaps self-mastery isn't about never reacting.

It's about knowing yourself well enough to recognize when you're reacting...

and finding the freedom to choose what comes next.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

A Map of Wisdom:

Here are some of the places we go together in this talk:

✦ How unconscious adaptations help us navigate life's demands

✦ Why the things that comfort us can sometimes leave us depleted

✦ The importance of recognizing our patterns b
