The Bam Bam Interview.

Anybody can hold a microphone.

What does it take to actually command the room?

On this episode of Vigilantes Radio Live, Coach Dini sits down with Baltimore media personality, radio personality, professional MC, writer, content creator, and community advocate Bam Bam—better known as “The Crazy Girl on the Mic.”

Bam Bam’s broadcasting journey stretches from Hawk Radio at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore through multiple radio platforms across Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Virginia. Her work eventually expanded into professional event hosting, digital content, journalism, and community leadership, including a major September 2026 milestone hosting Charm City Live.

But this conversation isn’t simply a résumé walkthrough.

Coach Dini and Bam Bam get into the craft behind the personality—how professional hosts read difficult rooms, recover from dead energy, balance entertainment with event objectives, and understand when to command attention versus when to give the stage back to somebody else.

They also explore how Kicking It With Bam is evolving as a media platform, the difference between authenticity and oversharing, creating meaningful content without becoming controlled by algorithms, and how writing for The Uncutt and BLK has forced Bam Bam to communicate differently when her voice and live energy aren’t available to carry the message.

The conversation also examines the operational vision behind The Village Project Foundation and The Village Walk, focusing on how community-centered events can become lasting resources, relationships, and meaningful support rather than simply one-day experiences.

From radio studios to major stages, digital storytelling, writing, and community-building, Bam Bam’s philosophy comes down to something bigger than being handed the microphone:

What are you going to do with it once it’s yours?
