End of Day Report – Tuesday 27 October: ASX Finishes Up 0.5% - Resources Lead - Banks Sluggish

ASX closed up 40 points or 0.46% on Tuesday. 5 of 11 sectors higher. Materials was best, up 2.78%, as copper strength followed with the chip bounce on Wall Street after Anthropic’s IPO filing. BHP closed up 4.3%, RIO up 2.5%, S32 up 2.6% and LYC up 3.5%. Communications was worst, down 0.80%, with REA down 3.3%.
