<p>The heart of earnings season continuing into this week will be trumped by an even bigger topic Tuesday and Wednesday: the mid-term elections in the U.S. </p><p>The PMP and Stock Trader Network guys will consider implications from a stock traders perspective, including potential impacts on the AI trade given likely limitations to regulation if democrats stage a victory. </p><p>In overnight news, Apple (AAPL) reported a fine quarterly beat but traders and investors sold the company's next-quarter guidance during the conference call. Apple said it's expecting Q1 total sales up 7-10% on a year-over-year basis, capex around $20.5 billion.</p><p>Triple D, hanging and trading in the STN Think Tank during the after-hours session, said it seemed the selling in Apple had sparked a rally in the AI hardware trade and SMH. "Rotation is coming out of staples now," he said. </p><p>Other earnings highlights included Palantir (PLTR), Aehr Test Systems (AEHR) and Fabrinet (FN). </p><p>Tuesday afternoon earnings from Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), Navitas Semi (NVTS) and Astera Labs (ALAB) will be previewed. </p><p>Two special guests on Tuesday:</p><p>- Christian Fromhertz, of Tribeca Trade Group, with his weekly segment at 8:15 a.m. EST, "What's Christian Watching?" and</p><p>- Scott Brown, of Brown Technical Insights, to give his take on the current market from a technician's perspective. </p><p>New STN team member and founder of Market Compass, Ryan Faloona, and his partner, XIII (pronounced "Thirteen," will join the PMP guys after 9 a.m. to take the community through the opening bell and into Tuesday's intraday session. </p><p>Joel, Dennis and Brent welcome you as they host PreMarket Prep's 3,658th episode!
