The Melting Men of Finland | Short Cases

A truck driver has a strange passenger sitting beside him. She says something in her head has stopped working—and she has brought another one for him to fit. This week on Stories Lost, we return to Short Cases with five unusual encounter accounts from Japan, Sweden, Denmark and Finland. The theme is Almost Human: familiar faces and human shapes that become stranger the closer the witnesses look.A woman beside a Swedish road whose body seems to give way under a man's hand. Two tiny, faceless figures gesturing beside a drain in Denmark. A visitor outside a Finnish cottage who looks like a friend—until that friend is seen sitting inside. Beings that appear to be thawing in the cold. And a passenger in a Japanese truck who needs help replacing her own head.🔹 Carl-Axel Jonzon's encounter in Avesta🔹 The small, ribbed figures known as the Nivå mummies🔹 Pekka's familiar-looking visitor in Kuusamo🔹 Hannu and the melting figures of Koskenkorva🔹 Yuji Fukuda's extraordinary account near Uno Port🕰 Chapters00:00 – A Passenger with a Spare Head00:44 – Almost Human: Five Short Cases01:31 – The Woman by the Road — Avesta, Sweden03:10 – A Body Like Rubber04:57 – The Nivå Mummies — Denmark07:39 – The Stranger Who Looked Like a Friend — Kuusamo09:28 – The Face Begins to Change11:27 – The Melting Figures — Koskenkorva15:16 – Hannu Describes His Encounter16:13 – The Passenger in the Truck — Japan, 197419:03 – Three Yellow Buttons19:17 – Replacing Her Head21:27 – The Missing Twenty Minutes22:39 – Five Encounters, Familiar Shapes<a href="https://www
