She has a popular science blog – Biosocial - where she comments on news, scientific findings and literature relevant to her subject – more often than not with an evolutionary informed approach to understanding the subject matter. She has held numerous lectures on the benefits of an evolutionary informed approach to understanding the cross-cultural sex and age differences in anti-social and criminal behavior.

In this episode, we talk about issues with how the media tend to deal with criminal cases. We discuss what is a responsible media coverage of crime, including crime statistics. We talk about the risk of damage to the reputation of innocent people portrayed as criminals, as well as situations where the victims are revictimized. We also discuss the risk of copycat effects. Finally, we talk about the allure of true crime shows and whether they are realistic.

--

A HUGE THANK YOU TO MY PATRONS/SUPPORTERS: PER HELGE LARSEN, ADAM KESSEL, MATTHEW WHITINGBIRD, ARNAUD WOLFF, TIM HOLLOSY, HENRIK AHLENIUS, ROBERT WINDHAGER, RUI INACIO, ZOOP, MARC
