Old Time Radio Detective — Broadway Is My Beat: "The Jane Darnell Murder Case" (1949) | Full Episode

Broadway Is My Beat was CBS radio's noir portrait of New York's "gaudiest, most violent, loneliest mile in the world," with Larry Thor as Detective Danny Clover, scripted by Morton Fine and David Friedkin. In this August 1949 case, a scandal columnist gets a typewritten note predicting a girl's murder that very night, and the prophecy comes true. Then a second note arrives, and a third name is on the list. Clover has a stack of typewritten notes, one night, and a killer who announces each victim before the crime.
