<p>The last two weeks have been a heavy stretch of releases. PHP dropped a critical security update that fixes two unauthenticated remote code execution flaws in the engine itself, and then WordPress followed with 7.1.4, a short-cycle security release that patches twenty-two different issues, including a race condition in the core upgrade process that can lead to remote code execution while an update is running. </p>
