France is burning because everyone wants a bigger state, and the state is already broke. When the left, the right and the mob in the street all demand more from a government that can't even protect its own shops, what comes next?
550,000 people marched in France "for school funding." By Sunday, 1,500+ shops had been looted, Limoges city hall had burned down, and 1,000 police were injured. Yaron Brook explains why this is how the welfare state ends.
On this episode, Yaron argues that every faction in France wants more from a government that's already broke. Students, unions, fishermen, the far left and the far right all make the same demand. Debt is heading past 120% of GDP, and the bond market has noticed. Yaron's answer is zero tolerance for looting and no new handouts. He also takes on Trump and Vance for blaming immigrants. Paris burned in 1968 too.
Then Yaron turns to the Trump administration's pressure on Ukraine. Trump waived the new Russia sanctions days after signing them. The US is now buying Russian diesel. Ukraine says it got no US missile warning before a major strike, and Rubio blamed "a software program."
Next is Garry Kasparov's New York Times op-ed on Israel. Yaron agrees with Kasparov that Israel's founding compromise with the ultra-Orthodox threatens its future more than Hamas does. Yaron compares it to America's founding compromise on slavery, which ended in civil war.
